The Barfoot & Thompson NZ Women’s Keelboat Nationals sure was breezy! Definitely the most wind we’ve ever raced the MRX’s in, and oh my it was sendy! After an unfortunate breakage on day 1, and jumping the gun at a start on day 2, we racked up a few more points on the scoreboard than we would have liked.

We’ve finished up in 4th place, just one point off the podium! The team is a little tired with sore muscles, many bruises, blisters and hoarse voices but we’re looking forward to the next match up against these ladies! Thanks to the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron (RNZYS) and the incredible volunteers as well as MRX Yachting - what an awesome event it was. Congrats to Karleen Dixon and her team, you ladies crushed it!
