Detroit!! The halfway mark! 2 events down 2 to go.
We were rearing and ready to go on day 1. Excited to put our learnings from Chicago into play! Our starts felt strong with small errors here and there to tidy up as the day went on and we felt confident we could do this going into day 2.
Day 2 brought tricky and shifty conditions and we just couldn’t seem to make the right decisions around the track. It was a tough day - but the tougher the day the bigger the learnings!
Day 3 we were determined to improve on the day before and were stoked to win our last race of the regatta.
While the result isn’t what we had hoped and what we know we are capable of, we have taken away a lot from this event.
Thank you to @bayviewyachtclub for their incredible hospitality - all of the members made us feel so welcome. An extra big thank you to Barb and Chrisy our incredible tour guides and hosts.
We’ve had a blast in Detroit and hope to be back soon.
